Our Founding Father

Author’s Note: This essay is for Patriots Pen. I wrote about  what I thought about them. If we wanted to we could choose to enter this into a contest.

Do you know who the founding fathers are? The fathers are George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Jay, and James Madison. Therefore if you had a chance to tell them what you thought about them what would you say? I would tell them that they were successful in forming our government, religion, and freedom.

In the year 1920 women of America were allowed to vote. If it wasn’t for the founders then men would only be the ones to vote. One reason why the  fathers were successful was in our government because of being able to vote. And without being able to vote then the people of America wouldn’t get a chance to elect who they want for president. Then there probably wouldn’t be demarcates and republicans.

Religion is a big part of the US, and without it then people today wouldn’t be who they are. Every Sunday there are people who go to church, Sunday school, or bible study. Almost every summer for one week my friend Molly and I participate in a bible school event. It’s called Vacation Bible School, and you do a bunch of religion activities such as; crafts, games, sings songs, plus more. This is one example of a religious activity.

If we didn’t have freedom then what would we have? Without it we very well could be slaves right now.
But since we do there’s so many possibilities as to what we can do. In July 4, 1776 the 13 colonies declared themselves independence from the English.

Maybe not everything the founding fathers did was successful. But overall they were doing well with our government, religion, and freedom. However if they didn’t exist then this country wouldn’t of been as successful as it is today.

  1. This is really good! If anything, I would've just added more about freedom. But overall, it's very well done.
